World-class when it comes to container chassis
The new KRONE Box Liner generation is designed to never give in under heavy loads. As container transporters, they handle the tough daily operations at ports with smart features. The Box Liner comes in various versions, perfectly tailored to specific applications. For example, as a universal chassis for all container sizes or for specialized requirements.
Further development in the base
All KRONE Box Liners of the new generation are manufactured from high-strength steels in a central tube design and thus combine low weight with high robustness. The Box Liner TU40, for example, is launched with an unladen weight of less than 4.5 tonnes.
All KRONE Box Liners of the new generation are equipped with the KRONE Traction Rear as standard to maximise the possible payload with a 20' container flush with the rear and at the same time achieve the highest possible fifth-wheel load. The traction rear thus achieves a similar effect to a central extension or improves it if the chassis already has a central extension (TU70 and TU75).
The new models
The KRONE Box Liner TU40 can be used universally for containers up to 40', whereby the transport of 20' containers flush with the rear, two 20' containers and optionally 20' containers in the centre, tank containers and swap containers is also possible. The wheelbase is optimised for a two-axle tractor unit. The Box Liner TU45 also has a front extension and can therefore also transport 45' containers with a long tunnel.
The Box Liner TU70 has four different wheelbases, so that when pushed together it can transport 20' containers with improved fifth-wheel pressure flush with the rear. In addition, an extra short wheelbase can be selected for transporting heavy 40' containers, and 45' containers can also be accommodated. Even more flexible is the Box Liner TU75 with front extension, which is equipped for almost all container types, up to 45' containers with a long tunnel and B dimensions of 12,000 and 12,150 mm.
