KRONE eTrailer
KRONE's electrified trailers reduce the diesel consumption and CO2 emissions of a semitrailer tractor by 20 to 40 per cent.
The centrepiece is an e-axle, which supports the tractor unit in the drive and recovers braking energy through recuperation. The battery energy carried is also sufficient for long distances of over 500 kilometres.
eCELSINEO, the modular cooling system for all-electric operation
The modular eCELSINEO cooling system from Liebherr can be connected fully electrically to all KRONE Cool Liner vehicles and a battery pack. In contrast to conventional cooling systems, no combustion engine is required. Depending on the choice of battery system, applications for numerous purposes are possible.
The CELSINEO cooling system for semi-trailers has a power requirement of approx. 15 kW in the deep-freeze range. It consists of three refrigeration modules, each of which has a self-sufficient, hermetically sealed refrigeration circuit, is individually controllable and provides the required power with a high degree of efficiency as required. The extensive electrification adds further advantages such as zero emissions and reduced noise pollution: the driver no longer hears the diesel or generator drive behind the cab - because it no longer exists.
